Cheshire Women's Cricket News Latest Edition of The Dazzler

In 1998 the national Women's Cricket Association merged with ECB which is now solely responsible for 
Women and Girls Cricket in England and Wales.

• Cheshire Women's County Senior Representative side plays in the Liverpool Victoria County Championship Div 2. The County side is sponsored by the Warrington based ROUTE ORGANISATION. The County Team is run by the Cheshire Women's County Cricket Club constituted in 2009, and reports to the Board via the Cheshire Clubs Cricket Committee.
• Founded in 1997 as the Cheshire Women's Cricket Association and renamed Cheshire Women's Cricket League in 2007 the CWCL is responsible for senior League Cricket for Women in the County and is organised by the CWCL Committee. A representative from this Committee attends the Cheshire Clubs Committee.
• Formed in 2009, Warrington Ladies' Cricket Club plays as the Cheshire representative in the ECB Northern Premier League, and is run by Warrington Sports Club.
• The Cheshire Girls u13, u15 and u17 Representative sides playing in their respective ECB Competitions is organised by Cheshire Youth Cricket.

At the CWCL AGM held on November 18, Moorfield CC from Widnes were elected as the League's 12th full member club. They will play in Division Two of the League and will also enter both cup competitions. With the inclusion of New Brighton both cup competitions will have 13 entrants.
