SUMMER COACHING COURSES

A Comprehensive Coaching Programme for boys and girls aged 7-15 to help develop an interest in the game,

Note - all children who have previously attended a Cheshire Cricket Board Course will be automatically advised of future Coaching Courses relevant to their ability.

General Courses 
Easter & Summer

• Easter and Summer school holidays - Fun Weeks in a safe and friendly environment not to be missed
• Boys and Girls 7-15 years of age of all abilities
• At selected Indoor Coaching Centres at Easter and in Summer at ECB Clubmark Accredited Cheshire Cricket Clubs
• Run by qualified ECB Cheshire Coaches Association coaches all with CRB certificates and First Aid qualifications.
• Summer Schools include group coaching, net practice, fun competitions, trophies, and six-a-side games. A week not to be missed.

General Courses
Autumn

• 8 week one and two hour Weekend Courses
• Foundation Level Courses for boys and girls 7-15 years of all abilities
• based on the basic skills of the game aimed at improving team performance.
• At selected Indoor Coaching Centres at Easter and in Summer at ECB Clubmark Accredited Cheshire Cricket Clubs.
• Run by qualified ECB Cheshire Coaches Association coaches all with CRB certificates and First Aid qualifications.

Advanced Level Courses Dec-Jan
These 8 week 2 hour Weekend Courses offer an opportunity to those young cricketers (7 to 17 years of age)  who have already achieved 
a high performance standard to progress to excellence. Applicants must be recommended by a club coach or teacher as having achieved 
the required standard as specified below.
Selected Criteria - Advanced Courses
The principle criteria for selection are:
1. "A significant cricket contribution at school or club"
2. A recommendation by an Area Cricket Coaching Co-ordinator/Senior Course Tutor for the Cheshire Cricket Developement Scheme.
3. Players who have represented the County Youth Teams during the previous season.

District Level courses Jan-Mar
These 8-10 week 2 hour courses will be offered to selected participants at Under 11, 13 and 15, many of whom will go on to play 
in the District Festival during the Whit Bank Holiday week.

Excellence Level Course Jan-Mar
These 8-10 week 2 hour Weekend Courses will be offered to selected participants at Boys under 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 age groups 
and Girls Under 13,15,17 age groups. County teams will be selected from these courses.
